Spam Guardrails & System Safety
How PaarMarket uses automated detection, rate limits, and network intelligence to protect buyers and sellers from spam, fraud, and bot manipulation.
1. Velocity & Rate Limiting
To prevent automated scripts and spam bots from overwhelming local search feeds, our platform enforces adaptive rate limits on listing creation.
- Posting dozens of listings in a short time window will trigger automated rate limiting.
- Accounts exhibiting high-velocity creation patterns are temporarily throttled or routed to human review.
2. Duplicate Listing Suppression
To maintain a clean and fair marketplace experience, duplicate posts are automatically detected and hidden:
- Cross-City Flooding: Posting the exact same item across multiple distant geographic zones simultaneously is flagged as spam.
- Re-Posting Games: Rapidly deleting and re-creating the exact same listing to artificially stay at the top of local search feeds violates marketplace rules. Use our legitimate ad bump options instead.
3. Network & Identity Verification
Our edge security systems evaluate incoming traffic signatures in real time:
- Accounts registered using temporary, disposable, or hard-bouncing email addresses are automatically suppressed.
- Listings originated from known malicious proxy networks, malicious data centers, or anonymized exit nodes may be quarantined for safety verification.
4. What if your ad was flagged by mistake?
Automated guardrails can occasionally flag legitimate listings containing technical keywords or unusual formatting. If your listing was held or hidden in error, please visit your account dashboard or reach out to our compliance team at paarmarket@gmail.com for review.
